CoiledNatureOfTheSpineBookCoverBook Description
It redefines the functional anatomy of the spine in terms of directional forces. The application of manual pressure to both sides of the spine can lead one to see the spine functioning as a coil. Although the anatomy is the same on the left and right sides, the spine functions differently on both sides. There is a directional seeking which is opposite on both sides. This directional seeking is explained in more detail, and it is applied to manual manipulation maneuvers as a text originally intended for chiropractic doctors. The final chapter deals with the presence of a life-force (innate, prana, chi) which travels the spinal highway and expands.

“Dr. Joseph Kurnik explains the psychological processes of pattern recognition in chiropractic diagnosis and treatment in a way that will make sense to practitioners and students alike.

Pattern recognition is integral to all sciences. By getting practitioners to look for patterns that follow the body’s natural tendencies, many patients will be helped and the process of assessment has taken a huge step forward.

I recommend this text as an excellent teaching tool.”
Peter Desberg, PH.D. – Retired
